As part of North Grenvilles’ fire prevention month 2018, ATOR Properties Inc. and Peartree Group Property Management, in cooperation with the North Grenville Fire Prevention Services, performed its annual fire drill at ATOR’s Pinehill Apartments on Pine Hill Road.
Despite the cooler weather, the drill was a success, with all participating residents evacuated in under three minutes. Shannon Armitage, North Grenville’s Fire Prevention Officer, was on site during the drill and emphasized the special need for annual fire drills in all of Kemptville’s multi-residential buildings, as part of a complete fire prevention and awareness program. Annual fire drills remind residents to make a plan and practice the plan. If there is a fire, get outside and stay outside and call 9-1-1.
ATOR Properties and Peartree Group Property Management work closely with the North Grenville Fire Prevention Services to maximize the safety of their residents. Conducting fire drills and routine inspections of all emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, is key to revealing deficiencies and problems before tragedy strikes.
In ATOR Properties’ commitment to go the extra mile, each participating resident was also presented with a $10 gift card, as a show of appreciation for participating in this life-saving fire drill.
