Memories of Sport, Traumatic Brain Injury and Education with Falling into Now by Author former Olympic Equestrian Rider Claire Smith

Brockville, ON – Recently released, Falling into Now, author Claire Smith shares her life-changing journey from realizing her equestrian dream to an existence with years of an arduous recovery.

On September 13, 1997, while competing in Burghley, England, Claire’s horse Gordon flips over a jump landing hard on the ground, with Claire falling nearby. That tumble would leave Claire with a severe traumatic brain injury.

This event is hosted by the Friends of the Brockville Public Library on Saturday, February 17th at 2 p.m., upstairs at the Library, 23 Buell Street, Brockville.

Falling into Now will be on sale at the Library for the entire month of February and the speaking engagement is free to the public.
