#ThrowbackThursday – This photo is of the old post office that used to be located on Prescott Street in Kemptville. Do you know exactly where it was located?
I recall the site as being the site of the future memorial and that of the current post office.
It was a magnificent building, in the style still seen in various villages around Eastern Ontario.
in my humble opinion, it should have been declared “Historical’ and saved by whatever Town Council was in
place at that time.
Year new Post Office was built?
Also, at one time a building showing movies, or did i dream that?
behind the old post office, in the parking lot area, could have been part of the expropriation of land.
